Terms of use.

The plain-English basics of using Last Man Standing Arena.

Not yet launched: Last Man Standing Arena is in development and is not live or being promoted. Everything on this site, including public leagues, entry fees and the site fees below, is subject to change.

Please note: this is a starting template to build on, not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a solicitor before you rely on it, especially before taking any real money.

1. What this service is

Last Man Standing Arena is a tool for creating and running Last Man Standing football competitions. It manages fixtures, picks, results and leaderboards. For leagues that players run themselves, we do not collect, hold or pay out entry fees or prizes. We also run our own public leagues, which are covered in section 4.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old to take part in any competition involving a stake. By using the service you confirm the information you give us is accurate and that you'll keep your login details secure.

3. Money between players

In leagues run by players (not our public leagues), any entry fees or prizes are arranged directly and privately between players. We are not a party to those arrangements, take no cut, and accept no responsibility for money that changes hands between users.

4. Public leagues

Public leagues are run by Last Man Standing Arena and are open to anyone on the site. Paid public leagues are winner takes all, with the following site fees taken to cover running and admin costs:

Entry fee: a flat 15%. Once entries have closed and everyone has paid, 15% of the pot goes to the site. The other 85% is the winning pot.
Buy-backs and rollover buy-ins: 50%. If a league allows buy-backs, or a rollover happens (every remaining player goes out in the same week) and players pay to enter again, the site takes 50% of that extra money. The other 50% is added to the winning pot.

Example: 100 players enter at £10 each, making £1,000. The site takes 15% (£150), leaving a pot of £850. Everyone goes out in the same week, the league rolls over, and 100 players buy back in at £10 each, adding another £1,000. The site takes 50% of that (£500), and the other £500 goes into the pot, making a winning pot of £1,350.

Free public leagues have no entry fee, and nothing is taken.

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no cheating, no attempting to break or overload it, no abusive behaviour toward other users, and nothing unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the service running smoothly but can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free, and we may change or withdraw features over time.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses arising from your use of the service, including any private stakes between players or the outcome of any competition.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use the service means you accept the current version.
